FSMC Transition

We are excited to announce that three Food Service Management Company (FSMC) Contracts have been awarded, effective January 1, 2024. It is important to note that while the contract period begins January 1, 2024, the contract allowed a transition period that will continue through March 31, 2024. This extended transition was to ensure readiness, continuity of services, and detailed, school-specific support. During this transition period, 49 schools transitioned to a different vendor. Schools will be served by the following vendors, including a new vendor, Aramark School Nutrition:

  •  *New*: 37 Schools 

  • : 24 Schools

  • ºìÐÓÖ±²¥appSelf-Operation: 8 Schools (no change)

  • : 48 Schools 

Even if your school community has not been impacted by these vendor changes, your student can expect to see new and familiar faces in your cafeteria! The Food and Nutrition Services team will continue to ensure our vendors meet the ºìÐÓÖ±²¥appest standards set by DCPS. While the vendor assignment may have changed at your school, all vendors are required to continue following all local and federal requirements. Some menus may change; however, students will always have access to ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app-quality and nutritious meals as stipulated by DCPS’ standards. Please note that there will be no change to your school’s current meal program costs or payments.
